As an extremely competitive person, I love having all of my stats and personal bests easily accessible. I use them to see how I’m progressing as a runner. And I love knowing what I need to beat in future runs. Except keeping track of those stats has always been a problem. Those runs get lost in all my runs on Strava and I don’t want to scroll through them all to find what I’m looking for. So I was excited when I was asked to review Athlinks.
What is Athlinks?
Athlinks is a website (and an app) where you can save and share all of your race results. You search your name and claim previous races. It’s a great way to connect with other runners, compete with rivals (people who have run the same races as you), discover new challenges and races, and keep all of your records in one place. You can also search for races and add them to your race agenda with goal times.
Claiming results is very easy, you just type in your name and you click to add your previous race results to your profile. Thankfully I have a very uncommon last name so I didn’t have to sort through race results of people with the same name.
Adding Future Races
Search the race you’re running in the search bar at the top. I’ve added a few less popular races, you just input the date and time, location, run distances offered, and the race website. But I’ve found all of the bigger races to be on the website with lots of information about the race, including course maps. Click on Start List, then Add Yourself. You’ll be able to set your goal time for the race.
Using the App
Keep all your PR’s, results, and statistics on hand with the mobile app. There’s also a Discover tab to find events near you or featured events. The app is easy to navigate and I like that I have all my information with me.
If you’re on Athlinks, you can go ahead and follow me here.
