So the other day I wrote about how excited I was to run the Silicon Valley Half Marathon (see the post here). Well just my luck, I got a UTI and had to take antibiotics that the doctor warned me came with a risk of tendon rupture. So I wasn’t allowed to work out or run the Silicon Valley Half Marathon. And I’m so jealous of everyone that did get to run because the weather was perfect and beautiful! I did get out to cheer on everyone else who got to run.
The course looked fun, and I already knew it would be pretty flat – so I think it was pretty fast as well! Find the results here! I see some fast times listed in there! Hopefully you hit a PR if you ran it.
I was also able to slowly wander around the Food Truck Festival on Saturday. It was a beautiful day to get outside and enjoy some live music, food, and cheer on the 5k runners. I would’ve had some beer had I not been on antibiotics. San Jose is known for its food trucks, so it’s only fitting to include them in an event based in Silicon Valley!
The Bib pickup was easy and the swag is great quality. I wish I was able to earn some medals too, those things look awesome.
I also love that the race photos were free for anyone who ran the 10k or half marathon! If you ran the race, you can find your photos here!
Did you run the Silicon Valley Half Marathon? What did you think?
